Not only was the 19th of September 2021 a beautiful spring Sunday, it was made more special as three new wonderful ladies were received into the Catholic Women’s League (CWL).
The enrolment of new members and the awarding of long service badges as well as the annual renewal of commitment was long overdue. The event should have taken place in August but unfortunately the country was on Adjusted Alert Level Three at the time.
The three new members are, Hope Mulaudzi, Elizabeth Kapinga and Sindisiwe Tsotsotso. Long service award was presented to Edna Malebye (awarded twenty years badge), while our President Regina Pooe, the secretary Lisa Avery, treasurer Tsepo Masole and News Correspondent Isabella Mlaba (the author), each received ten years badge. The ladies looked elegant in their navy and white attires.
The ceremony was preceded by a moving retreat offered by Fr Lawrence Mduduzi Ndlovu on Saturday the 18th. He prepared us and left us spiritually uplifted.
This was indeed the day that the Lord had made. Words cannot fully express how grateful we are.
A hearty welcome to our new members and congratulations to those who received long service badges.
