Philip Erasmé Centre

The Philip Erasmé Centre is the parish hall situated along side the main church building at the bottom of the car park.

The hall can cater for up to 200 people, is equipped with a kitchen and has crockery and cutlery, and is available for function hire such as small weddings, birthday celebrations, and any other celebration.

Protocols and Costs

DepositR 1000.00 (to be paid at the time of booking to secure the venue)
Deposit to be refunded 4 working days after the function, provided that there are no damages.
Deposit will be withheld to cover cost of repairs or replacement of items damaged.
Hall depositR 1000.00 (to be paid at the same time as the deposit)
TablesR 10.00 per table
ChairsR 4.00 per chair
Table ClothsR 20.00 per table cloth
Cutlery/Crockery R 3.00 per item hired
Additional Staff R 150.00 (to assist with washing up on the night)
R 150.00 (to assist with cleaning the hall on Sunday morning)
If there is a requirement for Brian Coetzee to hire additional casual staff there is a fee of R 120.00 per night for the casual staff.
NB!! – Amount is to be paid by the persons hiring the hall unless they are supplying their own staff. Payment is to be made to Brian Coetzee and not to the cleaning staff. Brian is to ensure that the cleaning/washing staff are paid timeously.
We have a standard price for funerals:
Under 100 attendingR 400.00 (includes tables/chairs/crockery/cutlery)
Over 100 attendingR 500.00 (includes tables/chairs/crockery/cutlery)
Memorial Services
As there are different requirements and varying times we charge per hour.
Hourly rateR 200.00

Operating hours:

The hall will be available to the caterers and decor people from 08.30am on Saturday. This will allow them sufficient time to prepare the hall for the evening function.

Functions can only start at 19.00pm on a Saturday evening due to the fact that we have mass that finishes at 18.30pm.

The cut off time 12.00am and the hall must be cleared out by 12.30am and music will be turned down at 12.00am.

NB!! Prior to any function being held at the centre Brian will have a preliminary meeting with the caterers and the music suppliers (DJ and sound people) to run through the rules and to discuss the requirements for the evening.
