THE OPENING OF MARYVALE CATHOLIC CHURCH

Soon the COVID Pandemic will have reached its peak in South Africa and Spring will be here. The time has come to start opening Maryvale Catholic Church. We will start with the celebration of Holy Mass – other parish activities will continue in shutdown mode (Zoom and Whatsapp). The Parish Hall and the car park (if the numbers exceed 50) will be used for the celebration of Holy Mass – due to the small numbers allowed and the lower sanitizing and cleaning costs in the hall.

WE WILL OPEN ON WEDNESDAY 02 SEPTEMBER 2020.

ATTENDEES COME TO MASS ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK AND NEED TO FOLLOW REQUIRED PROTOCOLS:

  • Wear a face mask to and throughout mass
  • Sanitize hands at the entrance to the hall
  • Fill in personal details list
  • Observe/keep social distance at all times (2m all round)

The following persons are discouraged from attending mass:

  • The under 15 yr and over 65 years of age
  • Those with compromised health and the sick
  • Pregnant women

WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND MASSES WILL BE CELEBRATED AT THESE TIMES:

  • Weekday Morning Mass: Mon to Sat 07h00 / 7am
  • Weekday Evening Mass: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri           18h00 / 6pm
  • Weekend Mass:
    • Sat 17h30 / 5:30pm
    • Sun 08h00 / 10h00 / 17h30

CONFESSION: Public confession with public absolution at ALL weekend masses
